I really admire you for doing this. What a beautiful gift to give to the family. I'll be sure to listen on Tuesday, if I can get that station in Madison.

Thank you all for the comments! Erin, thank you for your kind and thoughtful words. Thanks also for confirmation on the TIME that the interview will run! I appreciate that and will make a point of posting again on Monday morning with that info. :)
Thanks Mallory-- great to hear a nurse's viewpoint, it really is a gift to treasure always, no matter what a family does with the images... it's never ever something that they would regret having, even if the idea seems a little foreign at first. I have heard that hospitals often do that for families in these critical circumstances- it's too bad ALL hospitals don't either know or have access to volunteer professional photographers... my goal is to spread the word so that families in need at least are informed of the option. NILMDTS is doing a great job of spreading the word and getting the information out there, too.
Thank you Sarah, Julie, Lisa & Amy as well. I appreciate the kind comments on this sensitive subject.

How interesting and wonderful, I'd never heard of this type of photography before, but I can see how touching and special it is- thank you for both doing this work and promoting the idea of it, it must be hard, but wonderful.

The pictures are so difficult to look at but they have such a unique and strong energy to them. Such an amazing gift to be able to give to families.

Also...Andy used to work and MPR and confirmed that it should air at 12:30 as a live show so definitely tune in at that time to catch it.

You are absolutely fabulous. I found you through Jasmine*'s blog. This is an amazing way that you can give back to the community and the local families in your area. When I did my clincal rounds in maternity for nursing, you have no idea how much this grieving technique is used. Unfortunately, the hospital usually uses a poloroid camera. The hospital keeps the picture and other special things in a folder, for the family to come back for days, months, or years later. What a beautiful thing that you are doing, I wish that more photographers did this for the grieving families of NICU babies. Blessings to you.
