I think that by now anyone that frequents my photography blog knows I love to photograph a sweet newborn baby. The nest newborns to photograph for the scrunched up, sweet, new baby look are right around 1 – 2 weeks… but I can’t deny that I love all ages of baby photography too! Here is one sweet newborn picture in black and white. Another sweet photograph from the downtown Grand Rapids photography session.

I LOVED traveling into downtown Grand Rapids for this newborn photography session and am so thankful that this sweet boy’s momma called me last minute! We used all natural light of course (always!) for his professional newborn pictures, and this sweet baby boy slept and slept and snuggled and snuggled! I could not get enough of photographing his newborn portraits!

Garage light is always so fabulous! This child’s picture is from … ready for this? 2006!! The wonderful momma of this now-7 year old boy wanted to get the files from our session so long ago and of course I was thrilled that she was asking! What fun to see ALL of the images taken of your sweet baby so long ago. This picture was taken of this little not-quite-one year old boy with garage light, which is always gorgeous in the summers!

Love to photograph twins! This was an in-home session last winter. (The good thing about losing a years worth of photography posts I suppose is that I can re-post my favorites of old family photography sessions!) Identical twin pictures are FUN to capture… these four year old boys are very close to my heart, I’ve been photographing them and their beautiful big sister twice a year, since they were 9 days old.

Here it is, towards the middle of January of 2012. Amazing what kinds of craziness, opportunities, and joy a new year brings. Heck, every minute of every day can bring new craziness and opportunities but the new YEAR just seems so magical. Here’s to a beautiful month for all of you!
This is one of my favorite images of 2011, favorite because it is a gorgeous picture of beautiful children and favorite because I love these children dearly.
Before I lost the last years worth of blog photography posts (oh, about 190 posts and…) I had a glorious story and entry on these kids with a beautiful photography video/slideshow… I must see if I can dig that up. It would be worth it. Happy January!
