Scheduling your photography session is easy! All sessions and consultations are by appointment so that Allie can plan to give you 100% of her attention. Working with families for years, Allie has learned that trying to fit sessions into 9 to 5 hours during the week can be challenging and stressful. Because of this, most of our sessions and consultations take place during evening or weekend hours.

Most families find it helpful to schedule at least 2-4 weeks in advance when possible to ensure that a time will be available for them when it is convenient; you are always welcome to call (or email) to check on availability, but please reserve your session as soon as possible to hold a time that works for your family.

For your maternity or family session, we’ll schedule your time at a convenient time of day for you. If Allie is coming to your house or conducting an outdoor session, day light will be a factor in the time of your session. If you are coming in to the studio, evening or early morning sessions are no problem.

Scheduling your newborn session requires some finessing! Since the timing will be somewhat unpredictable (unless, of course, you have a birth day planned), we ask that you reserve your time in advance and then simply call the studio within 2-3 days of having your sweet new baby. This will provide us with advance notice of planning on your session taking place in a certain range of a few weeks, but certainly allows flexibility in the actual date.

Newborn sessions should take place during your baby’s first two weeks of life, preferably even before day 10. It is very important that we do receive notice within the first few days, so that we can solidify your newborn photography session. Some families add us to the group email that they send out to friends and family, others give us a call (or have their husbands do it) before leaving the hospital. Either way, regardless of the timing, we will conduct your photography session as soon as possible within that 1-2 week range.
