This sweet baby boy came in to the Wauwatosa studio for his first photography session at six weeks… he was full of smiles and wide awake 90% of the session!  At the very end, his mother finally got him sleepy and he was out!  Look at these squishy sweet lips!  I could have photographed him all day long….

Those beautiful eyes, and precious little smile… what an absolute joy to photograph, his newborn pictures were just amazing!

I have loved and photographed this family since before their younger daughter was born… captured some magical images with (then) soon-to-be big sister and then when their sweet daughter #2 was a newborn… imagine my surprise to hear a bittersweet story of a fast-happening move to another state! This family has been a true joy in every sense, they are such a treat to photograph, their home filled with love, charachter, and laughter. I will miss them terribly.

When this wonderful momma contacted me with news of a quickly approaching move, we squeezed in one last session to help her always remember the home where they started their family, and will always have friendships. The images can tell you better than I can with words, how special their first home will always be for them.

and last but not least…

I’ll miss you guys. Even though I wish you weren’t so far away, I wish you the very best in your new home. Thank you for having me for “one more session.”

This BEAUTIFUL baby girl and her equally gorgeous mother came into the natural light studio a few weeks ago for a photography session. Mom said she was not planning on being photographed but as soon as I saw how stunning and lovey dovey she was, I knew I had to take some portraits with her included! As a result, we captured so many touching mother & child images, as well as many individual images of just her sweet little girl.

And now onto more beautiful maternity images that we photographed in the Brookfield studio last week!  It’s one of the most common things that I hear portrait clients say in the studio when they bring their new baby for the newborn session… that they wish they’d documented their pregnant belly before it was gone. While we may not adore our pregnant bellies or the other things that go along with pregnancy… it’s a magical time, worth beautifully documenting. This first image was an unexpected one that “just happened” in the studio… I adore it.

This mom DID love her belly and her prenatal body, and her connection with her sweet baby shows. She’s in training to be a Waldorf teacher and I can see how amazing she’ll be. Enjoy the beautiful maternity images!

There was something beautiful going on with the early light during this family’s photography session outdoors on the studio grounds.  I was SO happy that the kids were into this session (adorable miss 3 year old has a history of not appreciating my camera!)  But this time was different… we were able to all get along and capture some truly heart melting images.

And a little “then and now” from previous sessions… remember this amazingly perfect baby girl I photographed about 5 months ago?

I love my outdoor mini sessions at the studio in Brookfield. Love them! I do of course, LOVE my full length on location sessions and adore my newborn & baby photography sessions but mini sessions are so laid back, and enjoyable!  It was incredible to photograph this soulful, beautiful, sweet girl.  She was so honest and gorgeous, the most beautiful eyes and beautiful smile.  She came for our photo session with her father, and he really knew how to light up that smile.    Here she is, with beautiful lighting.  This was actually the last image we took during the photography session, the sun popped out just for one last shot. 

The dress she is wearing is her last dress that still fits her from China… look at this beautiful smile.  Daddy snuck a tickle in for me… she was so precious!
