The title pretty much says it all!  During our photography session, I could see that this expecting mother was just glowing with happiness and excitement for her baby, her skin was beautiful, and her maternity portrait session was just amazing!  Here are some images of her beautiful belly & gorgeous pregnant figure.

What a delight to photograph these two adorable, beautiful girls with their gorgeous and sweet mom and dad!  They were just GREAT in the studio for an amazing photography session, and mom looked just stunning with her perfect, round, belly…  Seriously.  Does it get any cuter than this?!

I’m excited to announce some special fall events!

On three Saturdays in September and October, we will be having some great events in the studio and outdoors on the studio grounds for families desiring a shorter photography session with the main objective of producing a beautiful family portrait or a capture of your children together for holiday cards. Please click here for details on the fall 2008 events! Repeat clients and new clients in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area are welcome to join us for this family and children’s photography event!

I know it’s early to think about a fall family portrait or Christmas or Holiday cards, but these will fill up fast. There was an incredible demand for “just a few family images” or “just holiday cards” last year that these mini-session photography events were created to fill those needs, when a full portrait session or even a mini session may not be necessary. Check out the information for these events and let me know if you have any questions!

Now for some images of course!

Here is a recent gorgeous baby girl that I had the pleasure of photographing for a studio mini session. These eyes amaze me, clearly. Her eye contact here is so deep and focused, and she is so gorgeous. Such a beautiful, loved, happy baby…

And here’s one image of a sweet, sleepy baby… precious. I LOVE these tiny newborns!!

After getting into the studio in January, I’m finally getting around to feeling like it’s almost perfect. And finally, I can share some images of it. :) It has taken a long time to make it just right, and still, I have two more wall portraits to display.

I’ve had several itty bitty photography sessions (and a few full children’s portrait sessions) in the studio now, and I just LOVE the natural light for photographing a baby or siblings. The location in Brookfield on Capitol Drive is fabulous, and only about 10 minutes west of where I previously had the in-home viewing gallery in Wauwatosa. More than anything, it is so nice to have some separation between home and work! I love photography with all my soul, and am truly honored to be a newborn and children’s photographer, but after three years of working out of the house, it was time for this move!

Here are some images! Call or email if you’d like to stop in for a visit!

How about treating yourself this mother’s day? The relationships we (as mothers) have with our children are so special and so fleeting… I have three spaces available for the mother’s day portrait event; if you are interested and are a new client or have not received notice yet, feel free to email me (allie@proudtointroduce.com) or call (studio: 262.781.7878) for more information. There are a few images here, but I’ll post one more that represents what you can expect from this mother’s day event:

I have recently photographed some truly amazing newborns and one darling 3 month old who was just an absolute total joy. All of these tiny newborns and babies are so so amazing… so beautiful, perfect, and just miraculous. More images to come next week!

Have a wonderful weekend, it’s been a long Wisconsin winter and is finally starting to feel like spring in Milwaukee!

I am so honored to be a Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep photographer for Milwaukee area families in this sad situation.  Providing remembrance photographs of infants to grieving families is an incredible honor.  One that takes a heavy toll on my heart, but is always worth it in the end, considering that images are all that a family has left to hold after their baby is no longer on this earth.  This Monday at 12:30, I am joining another photographer from Kenosha, WI at the Milwaukee Public Radio studio in downtown milwaukee for a radio interview on infant remembrance photography. As you may know, I do this type of work (click on “giving back” above or on the main website for info), and have conducted a few sessions recently that have moved me deeply, and this continues to be an amazingly wonderful gift, an incredible way to share my talent with those in the worst of situations.

Infant remembrance photography, specifically NILMDTS has gotten a lot of attention in the press lately, both locally around Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and nationally. 2 Sundays ago, there was a front page article on the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Earlier this week, there was a story on the Today show, watch it here: Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep: Infant Remembrance Photography on the Today Show. On Monday, Kenosha studio photographer Sarah Baldwin and I are being interviewed for an MPR program.

Although I’m admittedly not very familiar with how exactly it all works with public radio, I assume it will be on the air at 12:30 “live” (right?), although don’t hold me to this. If I find out for certain, I will post, however please tune in to 89.7 MPR to hear us.

As a professional photographer for newborns, maternity, babies and children in Waukesha and Milwaukee counties, I love what I do every day. Happy, vibrant, healthy, amazing children are a blessing, to say the least. Yet offering professional photography to families in this terrible situation is such an incredible thing to do and I love to do it, to be able to help in such a small, small way. Having a baby is such a life altering moment, and losing that baby is just beyond imaginable… but the photographs, the tangible “things” to hold when a baby is gone… it’s healing, and sadly- it’s sometimes all there is. It’s something we all hope to never ever ever have to need, nor know someone who needs it. But it’s available. And I want people to know that. What families do with the images, how often or how soon they do or do not look at them- is up to them, but at least they’re there, to remember, and to know it all really did happen, in the blur of the moments. There is never a charge for this service, and the family will promptly receive the disc of image files and some prints.

After my second experience with one of these sessions, when the sweet baby passed on hours after I photographed her, I was so upset, it was just so painful- and I asked my good friend Chris Plamann, another local photographer who does this work, “does it get easier?” She replied that it does not. I asked, “how can we do it then?” To which she replied: “I try to think of the pain as carrying a small portion of the burden for the families who are left grieving.” It’s so true, so insightful- that one sentence.

If you ever know of anyone experiencing a loss, please think of infant remembrance photography. The simple mention of it may prove to be extremely helpful. Contacting NILMDTS is one way to gain access to a huge network of photographers. Anyone may also contact me directly in these situations. There is never a charge for these services.

Thanks for reading this. Hope you’re able to tune in to 89.7 MPR on Monday at 12:30.
