Wow- our poor, neglected blog! The Brookfield photography studio has been SO busy, the blog has fallen behind as we stay on top of getting the sessions prepared, portraits in, and back out to you! It has been a crazy fall and holiday season, but I definitely want to share a few images of one of my favorite recent families. Brook and I had the pleasure of meeting this beautiful family in the studio and creating stunning family portraits. Their adorable son is 6 months and so full of smiles, laughter, and just oozing with sweetness. I can’t wait to see them back in the studio for a children’s/family portrait session again when he’s a little older- I just love his personality (and mom & dad’s too!) Such fun during their photography session, I think it shows in his pictures!
We’ve had SO many incredible maternity portrait sessions lately too! It’s so incredible to capture this time and document it so beautifully. Here are a few pictures of a gorgeous pregnant belly… this couple came to the studio for a maternity portrait session from Chicago, what an honor! Brook captured her pregnant form so beautifully, and she was just radiating. We can’t wait to meet their sweet new baby, he or she will be here before we know it!

I photographed this adorable baby boy when he was a newborn, and had the pleasure of capturing him during a photo session in the Tosa studio at 3 months as well! Look at these gorgeous eyes!
And now for this amazing maternity session… would you BELIEVE that with this adorable tiny belly, this beautiful expecting mother was 33 weeks along? Her baby bump was just adorable and we captured some amazing maternity pictures in the Brookfield studio in Stonewood Village. These images are a bit more edgy than what we capture in-studio, it was a fun change of pace; I look forward to more maternity photo sessions like this inside the Stonewood Village Studio. The natural light photography studio in Brookfield has been cleared out just for sessions like this (and this 7-month old child’s session, and this maternity session), it’s such a different setting, more directional light coming in naturally through the windows- I just love it for a different type of look for some sessions!

This was a delightful newborn photography session with some amazing, hard-working, busy, new parents and a baby that slept so soundly once he had enough to eat and zonked out. This beautiful new mother & father were so busy up until the very day that this precious little guy decided to make his entrance, their stamina amazes me! They were exhausted during the session, but still looked incredible. I tell my pregnant moms and expectant fathers that the newborn portrait session can take a lot out of you at just a few days/week postpartum… it’s true. It’s so worth it though when you see images like this resulting from the photography session.

This BEAUTIFUL baby girl and her equally gorgeous mother came into the natural light studio a few weeks ago for a photography session. Mom said she was not planning on being photographed but as soon as I saw how stunning and lovey dovey she was, I knew I had to take some portraits with her included! As a result, we captured so many touching mother & child images, as well as many individual images of just her sweet little girl.

I adore this mother, and I adore her sons just as much! I photographed her for the first time on a very special day for her, one that she’ll always remember. 
Back then, a few years ago, we photographed her with her then-only son, and captured these images on the Menomonee River Parkway in Wauwatosa.
I can’t believe it’s been nearly two years since that first photography session! I was lucky enough to see her about 9 months later for her baby’s newborn photo session, and then most recently, she came into the studio for a mother and child photography session. Her almost-one-year-old was quite the busy little guy, but it was so much fun… here’s the little brother to the cutie above.
And big brother, three years old now, was SO easy to photograph! I love the range of emotions and types of interactions we captured between the two of them… some fun and light, some dramatic and sweet… such a fun photography session with these children. They look so much alike, don’t they?!

This mom does it all… I don’t know how she does it, but she does it well and she amazes me! I have photographed her gorgeous children several times, it’s been amazing to watch them grow, and it gets better and better each time I get capture their beauty and their little personalities! Most recently, they came into the studio for a mother and child portrait session… here are a few of the images from their album:
