Where to even begin with this family’s photography session?! I had an amazing time photographing all of the sweet baby smiles, winks, laughs, and absolute sweetness between this mom and dad and their sweet baby boy. I adore this age… this little cutie was sitting up, smiling, laughing, and just oozing personality! Mom and dad were incredible with him for our pictures, I could gush all day about photographing this family, but I’ll get to the good stuff… some of his portraits and their in-studio family pictures! Wow- our poor, neglected blog!  The Brookfield photography studio has been SO busy, the blog has fallen behind as we stay on top of getting the sessions prepared, portraits in, and back out to you!  It has been a crazy fall and holiday season, but I definitely want to share a few images of one of my favorite recent families.  Brook and I had the pleasure of meeting this beautiful family in the studio and creating stunning family portraits.  Their adorable son is 6 months and so full of smiles, laughter, and just oozing with sweetness.  I can’t wait to see them back in the studio for a children’s/family portrait session again when he’s a little older- I just love his personality (and mom & dad’s too!)  Such fun during their photography session, I think it shows in his pictures!

We’ve had SO many incredible maternity portrait sessions lately too!  It’s so incredible to capture this time and document it so beautifully.  Here are a few pictures of a gorgeous pregnant belly… this couple came to the studio for a maternity portrait session from Chicago, what an honor!  Brook captured her pregnant form so beautifully, and she was just radiating.  We can’t wait to meet their sweet new baby, he or she will be here before we know it!

Look at these gorgeous blue eyes!  This stunning baby girl was 6 months, and was quite the sweet baby to photograph in the Brookfield studio recently.  With a smile like this, and such a happy demeanor, we had a great time with her in the studio and captured some beautiful six-month portraits!

I’ve posted about photographing this mom, and this sweet baby before… after incredible maternity portraits using natural light in the studio, and then an amazing newborn photography session on location in their Hartland home, this beautiful baby girl is about 4 months now and just as sweet, snuggly, happy, and easygoing as can be. She is FULL of smiles and just loves to be held and snuggled and rocked in her mother’s arms. I can’t believe how much gorgeous dark hair she has, and more than anything, how her eyes and smile just light up when she sees her mommy. It’s pretty special. I feel fortunate to have the honor of photographing her and her mommy together. The natural light pouring into this room is so warm and beautiful… here are some of her images.

The upper left image of her necklace is special because it’s a mother’s necklace… each disc has each of her children’s names hand stamped on it. And because this mom of four does it all… she creates this beautiful jewelry herself.

I have been enjoying these recent sessions so much. Such wonderful new babies lately and awesome families, one year olds, and toddlers! I recently photographed a family session of one of my watch me grow graduates. I have known this sweet, beautiful little girl since before she came into the world… here is our progression with a few recent family portraits, photographed outdoors in brookfield just after her first birthday.

And here is a newborn baby boy that I had in the studio at 12 days old. He was so wonderful to photograph, and his parents were just as much fun to talk with as he was to photograph!

This sweet little guy and his wonderful parents came into the Wauwatosa photography studio for portraits the day that he turned 7 months.  It was a wonderful session, he was full of expressions, happiness, smiles and was such a pleasure to photograph!  I’m excited that he is in the Watch Me Grow program so that I’ll be able to document his milestones over the next year… so many amazing things to capture throughout that first-year photography program- look at how adorable he is!

I am so glad that this amazing mom came in to the Milwaukee photography studio for her child’s 6 month portraits; she had me laughing so hard the tears were welling up. I met and first photographed this gorgeous baby when she was brand new. I was so impressed even then with how laid back and sweet she was… and that trend continued through her 3 month photography session and more recently, during her 6-month portraits! Look at this sweet little face… this smile, these eyes… she’s just scrumptious!!

I could easily hang out with mom and dad and chit chat about funny stuff too- they make me laugh and are so much fun, they’re just those types of genuine people (awesome parents!) that make you feel so comfortable and like you’ve all known each other forever. What a lucky photographer I am.
