Allie is passionate about what she does. No matter what else is going on in the world, when she takes the lens cap off of the camera for a family or a child, she sees the beauty, love, or sometimes the adorable sass waiting to be captured. She exhibits an amazing patience and an incredible way with babies and families, and sees past the surface a bit to capture the subtle things that you know and love. A mother herself, she is familiar with the newborn haze, the sleepless nights, the love, the attachment, the peacefulness of a sleeping baby, and how quickly all of those things morph into the next stages of life so quickly. She knows first hand how fast the first year goes, and then the first few years. She is familiar with the many facets of a toddler’s personality, and has made many a grumpy toddler get through the tears and begin to laugh. She knows what it feels like to have a child go off to school and be gone all day every day, and how every stage is so worth documenting, even the “in-between” stages during those amazing (perhaps trying but full of love!) toddler years, just as much as she remembers the amazing moments during the baby stages and beyond.
Among the many roles that she plays in life, that of mother is the most consuming, the most challenging, and yet the most rewarding. Allie cherishes nothing more than the images of her own babies, her own growing children. The images of their soulful eyes looking deeply into her lens and showing her who they were at that moment. She is thrilled to provide tangible little pieces of that love to other families.
Allie is a relaxed, welcoming, genuine person who feels honored to be considered for something so important… capturing beautiful images that showcase the “little things” as well as your relationships- there is nothing more touching.
