Newborns: Our approach with newborns is gentle. Calming, quiet, peaceful, patient, and gentle. There is no rush and no planned schedule of poses. Each newborn session has a full two hours of time if needed, and 100% of Allie’s attention and heart. Sessions may take place in the studio or on location at your home- either way, your newborn photography session will result in unique and beautiful images from a session custom tailored to fit your desires.

Allie generally begins each session with a few images in mind, usually of the family holding and loving their newest little addition, however from there, each session varies incredibly. The types of images that result from any given session are very much a product of the family’s interactions with their sweet new baby, the dynamics of each family, and baby’s temperament.

Maternity: Allie’s approach with a maternity session is very focused on capture the beauty of your curves, and the joy and anticipation in your hearts. Your full, round belly will soon be gone; soon, you’ll have your baby in your arms instead of inside your belly. A custom photography session during your pregnancy will ensure that you can always cherish and remember the fleeting time before your baby came out into the world, when you were anticipating nothing more than meeting your child for the first time. Maternity portraits vary; some women may enjoy a more trendy and bold look to their images while others opt for a natural, serene, peaceful feel. Throughout any session, your comfort is our #1 priority and our patient, artistic approach is consistent, being certain that you feel comfortable with the posing and artistry that composes each image. Capturing the art of pregnancy and the beauty, love and expectation in a maternity session is incredible. These sessions are one of Allie’s absolute favorite types of photography sessions.

Older babies, Children and Families: When photographing older babies, children and families with little ones, Allie will do what each individual child or family needs to make the magic happen… for some older babies or quieter children, this may mean that we are quiet, gentle, and slow moving. For others, Allie may be very energetic, loud, and funny! Cracking jokes for older kids and befriending them as we move through the session. On your reservation form, we do ask that you share some insight on your baby or children’s personality so that we can be somewhat prepared when meeting a family or children for the first time.
