Words can’t even describe how much FUN this session was. I am so glad that this amazing mom came in to the Milwaukee photography studio for her child’s 6 month portraits; she had me laughing so hard the tears were welling up. She was amazing to photograph with her sweet baby boy. Incredible portrait session…

I have photographed this sweet girl several times over the last year and a half, starting with maternity portraits when her gorgeous mom was pregnant. They have an amazing downtown Milwaukee condo with beautiful light, decorated to perfection… here are a few recent favorites from our 18-month photography session. As I’ve photographed her, I have watched her grow from sweet newborn baby into more of a child… more of a little girl, now! The most striking toddler image… capturing just a brief moment of quiet; I love this:
I’m always a sucker for profile pictures with the right lighting… I think this is so adorable and captures her little face right now in a special way:
When we were basically finished with her photography session, we tried to just squeeze in one photo of her with the bunny ears and diaper cover… it was quite funny. There was no distracting this sweet girl once those ears were on, until mom had a brilliant idea and we managed to get a few… here is one of the cute bunny ear shots!

I recently had the pleasure of having this sweet girl and her mom into the Wauwatosa photography studio for a one year portrait session. This is my absolute favorite image from our session… the expression was very “her” and I love how it captured her little face, beautiful hair, and all of the other little features and details about how she is at this year-old stage.

Of course there were many more 1-year photos of her that I can’t pass up for this post… here they are!

All of these expressions and sweetness made for a fabulous 1-year photo session in the studio!

I recently drove north of Milwaukee to photograph these adorable siblings. The main focus of the session was for this precious little guy, but we also managed to capture a few fabulous images of big sister and the family together. Enjoy a few pictures from this children’s photography session!

I adore this mother, and I adore her sons just as much! I photographed her for the first time on a very special day for her, one that she’ll always remember.
Back then, a few years ago, we photographed her with her then-only son, and captured these images on the Menomonee River Parkway in Wauwatosa.
I can’t believe it’s been nearly two years since that first photography session! I was lucky enough to see her about 9 months later for her baby’s newborn photo session, and then most recently, she came into the studio for a mother and child photography session. Her almost-one-year-old was quite the busy little guy, but it was so much fun… here’s the little brother to the cutie above.
And big brother, three years old now, was SO easy to photograph! I love the range of emotions and types of interactions we captured between the two of them… some fun and light, some dramatic and sweet… such a fun photography session with these children. They look so much alike, don’t they?!

This mother and her three boys came in to the studio for a photography session… and while there are plenty of adorable pictures of their family, this one stood out to me. Is this TOO cute?!

I was so honored recently when this amazing family came to the Wauwatosa photography studio for their first session in the Watch Me Grow plan. We captured some incredible images and I can’t even tell you how thrilled I am that I’ll get to photograph him as he grows over his first year!
He had THE most amazing eyelashes I have ever seen on a baby! Mom and dad were gorgeous… and we managed a “sitting up” type pose with the magic of the beanbag! Here are some of my favorite images from our portrait session:

For this image, we didn’t even set this up, it just happened that their hands were all so perfect like this, I don’t think they knew that I was photographing the hands/rings, but it’s an amazing capture, isn’t it?

And this has GOT to be one of my favorite basket portraits ever. I wasn’t sure it would work, as he was a little squirmy (in an adorable way- expected, being 4 months!) but it sure did work. I love this image, so peaceful and sweet, totally capturing the essence of his tiny-ness in this portrait.

And an amazing family portrait…

I met and first photographed this gorgeous baby when she was brand new. I was so impressed even then with how laid back and sweet she was… and that trend continued through her 3 month photography session and more recently, during her 6-month portraits! Look at this sweet little face… this smile, these eyes… she’s just scrumptious!!
I could easily hang out with mom and dad and chit chat about funny stuff too- they make me laugh and are so much fun, they’re just those types of genuine people (awesome parents!) that make you feel so comfortable and like you’ve all known each other forever. What a lucky photographer I am.

I adore photographing babies around the 6-8 month stage, it is a great age for portraits! The big eyes, happy smiles, emerging personality! Look at this adorable baby boy that joined us for a studio photography session in Brookfield, recently!

This beautiful expecting mother came to the Wauwatosa studio for black and white maternity portraits at 32 weeks of her pregnancy. It was so easy to artistically document her pregnancy, she was glowing with happiness and inner beauty too- just pure love and anticipation as she awaits her third child. It was an incredible pregnancy photography session, it made my heart so happy to do this for her.
But before the images- a few updates!
* I am looking for one more pregnant “model” between weeks 30-35 of pregnancy; husbands and other children are welcome, too, in most cases. You would receive a free mini-session in the natural light studio; it’s a simple, open, light and beautiful space… gorgeous floors, textured walls, totally clean and open, not much furniture, making for an uncluttered, simple, background. Our goal is to capture some great images of pregnant mommas who are not too modest, in a new setting, with a particular look, and share them on the blog and website, so a model release will be required. Email if you are interested.
* We also have one more mother & child portrait session available, to take place before the end of March. More information on the mother & child specials are available here.
Now onto the beautiful images of this mother and her pregnant belly!
