Let me preface this by saying that these parents are incredible and these newborn baby girls are just precious… as if you won’t notice. Their new mom and dad are the most doting, loving, sweet and schmoopy new baby parents I’ve seen in a long time. To say that being in their home for their newborn’s portrait session was a pleasure… well, it would be an understatement! We spent a lot of time getting some very special and loving interaction captures, but first… these newborn images… I’ll save the other good stuff for another day!

Now for some of their individual portraits… they’re so beautiful, aren’t they?! They were about 3 and a half weeks and just BARELY 4.5 and 5 lbs I believe. I was so honored to come to their home on their 2nd day all being home together. Such an amazing time in their life!

In the four years that I’ve been going on location to the homes of new parents and children for natural light newborn, baby and children’s photography, never once has a parent taken a photo of me at work. Thanks to this great dad who took a few images of me posing his newborns, in action… now don’t laugh. Here I am!

Right after that shot, I looked up and couldn’t help but to smile… and HE had to tell ME (while laughing at me) to not smile… a little role reversal! I’ll spare you my very cheesy smiling picture.

I know many of you are checking in often to see some of the fundraiser images from our portraits with Santa day. I promise you they are coming.

Are these going to be the most beautiful thank you cards for these newborn twin babies?! You can only imagine the gifts that must be pouring in, we had an INCREDIBLE photography session in their home with these baby girls, just incredible… here’s what their notecards will look like…
(The smear on the bottom is to blur away their names.)
I asked if they’d mind if I just moved in and photographed those baby girls daily and lucky me, they said I could! I seriously could photograph newborn baby twins every day and never grow tired of it… what a dream.

I’ve been swamped! Let me catch up a bit with the blog here by posting many images of some gorgoeus chidlren and babies that were photographed outdoors at the studio, on-location at their homes, or inside the studio… santa portraits from last Saturday’s fundraiser coming soon!
Enjoy!
Same basket, 6 months later! She’s so beautiful, so expressive – gorgeous eyes, beautiful hair… she’s quite a treat to photograph!
LOVED this 6 day old sweet baby’s session in Wauwatosa. This little guy had the sweetest big brother and big sister with their precious new baby, and we got some fantastic sibling shots too!

One of the LAST outdoor mommy & me portrait sessions… it was quite freezing for this baby girl!
Look at these gorgeous eyes!
I adore these eyes, this little face and this sweet expressions… gorgeous little one.

Well, first this sweet new baby. He surprised everyone by arriving a week earlier than expected (and we were expecting him a few weeks early, at that!) He was so gorgeous, precious… all the words that describe a perfectly amazing and adorable new baby… here are just a couple.
And now some fundraiser talk… THANK YOU! We were anticipating 25-35 people and we had double our expectations!! It was an amazing turnout!! Coral Slavin, director of the Well-Rounded Maternity Center was in tears at the amazing support… I can not thank you enough, from Erin and I, here, and from her… thank you for coming out, waiting, and having portraits with Santa. The images that we captured are AMAZING, the kids and parents were just delightful…
I personally had the incredible pleasure of meeting SO many fantastic moms and babies and dads and kids that I hope to see again in the future- what an experience. I must say- that the wait time for many was much longer than we anticipated. Next year (and of course there will be a next year!) we’ll have it planned such that the wait time should never exceed a few minutes. With an overwhelming turnout like today, Erin will have her own assistants checking people in and out, as well. Your patience amazed me, and I am so grateful for the kindness and patience of everyone who joined us. Thank you again- and certainly keep your eyes on the blog for some images from the event. And because we ran out of goody bags pretty early in the day, a few tidbits here… Portraits from the fundraiser will be ready to pick up at the Center on Friday 12/12 during boutique hours, or if you opted to have them mailed, you’ll have them by Wed. 12/17. Be sure and check the goody bags that did go out, a few had gift certificates in them and all of them had a special offer for Proud To Introduce Photography. I am excited for each and every one of you to see your portraits… what a FUN day!

First, quick note about the fundraiser…
We were just stuffing goody bags today for the photography fundraiser event to support the Well-Rounded Maternity Center in Menomonee Falls and I’m excited to tell you that each family will get some little goodies to take home, a little treat for mom & some for the kids, and then *one goody bag will include a gift certificate for a studio mini session plus portraits!* Even if you don’t get that in your bag, every bag will have a special offer only for attendees of the fundraiser. Coral, at the maternity center is so excited as well and we can’t wait to thank you and see you on Saturday!
I can’t wait!! We’ve had a great response, and I think you are all going to love the “hints of Santa” theme… so much more fun than sitting on his lap smiling for the camera. We have some FUN things for santa to show the kids during their sessions, it will be great!
*********
We started outdoor on studio grounds for this 18 month old’s holiday portraits, and created some amazing images! When we came in, she was a bit more adventurous, but no less adorable or cooperative! It was a delightful holiday photography session, and their custom designed cards will be amazing! I have to say… this gorgeous little girl was honestly one of the easiest 18 month olds in my photography career!

If you have emailed any time since Friday afternoon, regarding anything… a maternity, baby, neborn, family or child’s photography session, or the Portraits with Santa fundraiser for the Well-Rounded Maternity Center in Menomonee Falls, please resend your email and/or call. Email problems are fixed now, but I am unable to know what emails were missed.
I’d also like to answer some frequent questions regarding the fundraiser.
The most common question I’ve received is this:
Q: Can I get cards made using the images from the fundraiser?
A: While we are not able to custom design cards for this event due to the administrative & design time that it would entail, we are releasing a digital file for personal use. The digital file of your choice may be selected from an online gallery for an additional $40, when the Santa Collection is purchased. ALL profits to benefit the Center!
Other common questions:
Q: What time should I arrive at the Center for my child’s portrait with Santa?
A: Arrive any time between 9 – 1! No appointments are being taken, and while the first 10 children in the morning will receive a special gift from Proud To Introduce Photography with their order, we anticipate the slowest time to be around 11:30-1.
Q: Can I get a family portrait?
A: The focus of the fundraiser is on the children, but accomodations for the whole family can be arranged, as time allows.
Q: What is the oldest age that should attend the fundraiser for a portrait?
A: Around 7-8 (depending on your child) would probably be the age that portraits with Santa would not be fun for children. If you have older children, you are certainly welcome to join us for a portrait without Santa!
And finally… My favorite Santa dog!

Or, I should say the cutest little boy in a Santa hat! This was a WONDERFUL mini Christmas portrait session, focused on getting a few festive pictures in the studio for holiday gifts and cards. He was such a ham with the hat… it was a wonderful photography session.

Please mark your calendars and join us in at the Well-Rounded Maternity Center in Menomonee Falls for our annual fundraiser! It is Saturday, 11/22 from 9-1 in Menomonee Falls. This year, we will have creative, unique portraits with Santa! The minimum donation is only $35, it’s a great way to support this incredible resource in our community while receiving a sitting and 5×7 portrait of your little one(s) with Santa. Click on the image above or click the *holiday fundraiser* in white at the top of the page for more information. A huge thank you to Carrie, of EMA photography for “loaning” me some images to use to show what to expect. Our portraits with Santa will be similar to what you see here, done on a black backdrop and will have a similar creative flair. No sitting on Santa’s lap smiling for the camera… these will be interactive and fun!
Onto more good stuff, this baby girl is just BEAUTIFUL. Gorgeous blue eyes, scrumptious little cheeks and legs… precious little toes, the sweetest smile and the cutest little nose! I am thrilled to be able to photograph her as she grows through her first year, this was the same baby in the basket outside about… well- 3 months ago!

This beautiful new momma had her baby 3 and a half weeks early, a little 5 pound tiny new baby girl! She must have had her baby just days (?) after our session in the studio… good thing we photographed that gorgeous belly when we did!

AND, another huge congratulations to my other wonderful new mom and dad from this post… this adorable couple had their baby girls too! Born healthy and strong just under 5 pounds each… I can’t wait to get to meet them soon for an incredible photography session. They are such loving, compassionate, sweet new parents… the very best kind.
It’s really quite amazing to be involved with couples and families during such an amazing time in their lives. I appreciate it so very much.
