What a fun family this was to photograph outdoors in the leaves this fall at Stonewood Village- and I should have known, considering who referred her.
We laughed, chased, ran, threw, played, hugged, snuggled, smiled, and cried… well at least one of us did. It was a wonderful session and this family is going to have big decisions to make! I am so moved by many of their images… here are a few of my favorite pictures from their amazing outdoor photography session.

I photographed this gorgeous perfect tiny new baby about six months ago, he was a dream, then…

And he was just as sweet and happy and easy recently for their family’s fall photography session!

6-month olds are so sweet and fun to photograph, full of smiles and expressions and adorable baby personality! These 6-month pictures are so special… before long, he’ll be crawling and running!

I am getting so behind right now! Many sessions to get through, so many blog posts behind… but I’m pleased to be behind for such good reasons, so many wonderful photography sessions with the sweetest and most beautiful children!
You may recognize this birthday girl from her recent cake and party portraits! Well, we had her “official” one year photography session… here are a few amazing images from it…
We spent a good bit of the session playing underneath their dining room table (in their GORGEOUS new condo!) She was just such a sweetie!

There was something beautiful going on with the early light during this family’s photography session outdoors on the studio grounds. I was SO happy that the kids were into this session (adorable miss 3 year old has a history of not appreciating my camera!) But this time was different… we were able to all get along and capture some truly heart melting images.

And a little “then and now” from previous sessions… remember this amazingly perfect baby girl I photographed about 5 months ago?

Well this baby girl is her, now!

And here is a then and now of big sister (on the left) and another of baby sister on the right, below…

and another “now” of them!

Such a beautiful family, I am so lucky and honored to photograph such amazing moms and dads and their children!

As a self proclaimed “boy mom” I can not even express how awesome this mom is. She is incredible and embodies so many things I strive to be/have as a parent myself. Patience, kindness, humor, love… aside from having quite a bit in common (our youngest monkeys are 10 days apart in age, we both work a few days a week, and best of all- she babied the heck out of her littlest monkey when he got a little owie… just like I do!) She is gorgeous, kind, loving, sweet… and while we have SOOO many amazing images with the whole family and the other boys, this post is just for her and her youngest son. I’ll post a few family images and ones of just the boys together in a few days. I have oh, about one million images to get through from their incredible family photography session.
Look at this LOVE. There’s nothing like it.
All right, no boy mom post is complete without one image that displays quite the adorable boys!
C & T, you should see more images here before your trip but I wish you the BEST in your drive for vacation soon!

That title line just about covers it. They were so smitten and in love with their son… it showed. In his attitude, his happiness, his own joy. This was a mini session that took place early in the fall at the Brookfield studio. We have such a beautiful setting for outdoor portraits with older babies, toddlers, children or families… check it out!
This very sweet dad just launched a realty company down the road over in the Sendiks plaza on Capitol Drive in Brookfield. They are growing fast and with a broker/owner like this, I can see why people love to work with their agents! Check it out at exithorizonswi.com.

Doesn’t he just look like the cutest little monkey? He IS!
And he will be a little monkey for halloween, too!

And now these two pictures of this gorgeous family… They’re both obviously darling… but in different ways! I love them both!
And the picture so cute it’ll make you laugh out loud:

This mother was so smitten with both her beautiful children during our recent mini session outdoors at the studio, but this image just grabbed me as soon as I opened it up… I had to post it right away! Look at how MUCH she is just soaking up his cuteness… I love it!

I’ve had many fun family photography sessions lately mostly outdoors, I LOVE the fall weather but I hate how it’s getting dark so early!!
So… something a little different for this blog post- I’ve been tagged!
My friend, Connie, who is also an Annapolis, Maryland child & baby photographer tagged me to share 7 random things about me. The Rules are:
1. Post the rules on your blog.
2. Write 7 random things about yourself.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post.
4. Pass on the tag.
So here we go- as if you all could possibly be wondering “what random things can I learn about allie today…?”
1. My feet are like a second set of hands. I rarely bend over to pick anything up off the ground because I just get everything with my toes, and then get it up to my hands. Convenient!
2. My boys are going to be the CUTEST things for halloween: my 5 year old is going to be batman and my 3.5 year old will be his trusty sidekick Robin. Their costumes are just beyond adorable, surely you’ll see a picture o.
3. I love coffee- straight regular non-latte-fancy-just-black-coffee. I drink soda mostly and hate– never drink water. I don’t like ice cream and would much rather have something salty (CHIPS! Or chocolate covered pretzels!) than something sweet.
4. I’m an only child and neither my husband nor I have any family in the state. The closest is about 7 hours away. When “grandma and grandpa” come into town we go date-night crazy, since we have no other night time babysitter.
5. I am a picky eater but I could eat pizza and/or Qdoba every day of my life and still love it. A little haute taco (plus margaritas) is pretty fabulous too!
6. I homeschool my children. Hence my three LONG long long days at the studio and 4 full days home with them.
7. When my now 5 year old was a new baby, he had four addresses in three different states between when he was born and turned one. Lots of moving before we settled in the Milwaukee area 4 years ago.
That does it! Now to tag some other friends… here goes- Heather Mosher, Jen Lane, Kristina Whitman, Susan Braswell, Wizzy and Friends, Lisa Dillon, & the fabulous Jessica Barnak
**********************
And because no post is as fun without an image… here’s a laughable one. We had a blast trying to capture a family portrait… I haven’t decided yet if I’d consider this an outtake or a real option… it makes me laugh, I know that!

What a wonderful outdoor photography session we had recently with this family… There are SO many fantastic captures, look at this beautiful family! And not to mention the best mini boden outfits! Their momma has good taste, she always has. ![]()
and this little nuzzly kiss
More insanely beautiful family images, totally capturing *them* just as they are with each other… happy and loving and just full of joy.
You may recognize this family if you’re a blog follower or have been in the studio, they’re featured in a few places in here. If I had to choose a favorite…

What a fun session. I’ve said it before about these four, but they give me just the kind of fun, carefree, laughter-filled family session I love. And another … so precious.

This portrait session was conducted in the most beautiful home and on the most amazing property in elm grove- it was a TREASURE and the absolute best treat for a children’s photographer!
Incredible, isn’t it?! Inside the home was equally fabulous… not to mention the gorgeous girls!
