This post is for my Milwaukee area blog readers… there is an indoor playground projected to open late October in New Berlin!
This place is going to be fabulous… I’ve never been a gymboree mom, even when my kids were younger (too sing-songy for us) or a Swiss Turners (too limited on open gym hours) nor have I wanted to drive to Grafton for their indoor gym, so what’s left in the cold months? I can’t wait to check this place out and have something in the Milwaukee area to do when there’s *nothing else to do* during our crazy Wisconsin winters. You can only go walk around the mall or have inside playdates so much… This indoor gym, called The Big Back Yard, has the start of a website here: www.thebigbackyardwi.com
As I get more info on it, I will surely post more!

Photographing this family outdoors on the studio grounds was such a delight. It took this sweet girl a while to warm up to me, but once she did, we managed some amazing portraits.
This family had a bit of a drive to get into Brookfield for our photography session before sunset, and the light was just beautiful-wonderful session with such a sweet family!

I can not even tell you blog readers, how SWEET and fun and genuinely *happy* this couple was. This adorable mom was nothing but giggles and laughter… and on top of that, imagine how thrilled I was when she walked in the door- her adorable round belly, her gorgeous hair and beautiful eyes- this maternity portrait session was a real treat!!!
These two are so in love and so happy to be pregnant… I love this image, because it shows just that:
Look at how cute her round little belly is- I just love maternity photo sessions, that prenatal stage is SO short in the grand scheme of things, it’s amazing to document these curves, this happiness, the joy and excitement of what’s to come. I swear I get to photograph the most amazing families in Milwaukee!
The best news? There are TWO little babies inside this gorgeous belly!! Yep. She called and we first talked on my birthday- so I consider that my birthday gift- getting to photograph not only her but her newborn twins soon as well!!

First- here are some more beautiful outdoor images of my little newly turned one year olds outdoor photography session… well, not “my” one year old, but after photographing her 4 times over the past year, I just adore her!

Next up on my list of fun things to announce- our Watch Me Grow program has been a hit so far! With three new babies enrolled in the past week, I am SO excited to see these little ones grow and change as I photograph them over the next year!
The Watch Me Grow program includes three sessions over a baby’s first year… one around 3 months, the next between 6-8 months- whenever your baby is sitting up independently, and then “the” one year session around 12 months! The three sessions are all studio sessions, taking place here at the studio either in the studio or outdoors. At the end of the year, a 10″ mounted storyboard is yours, with one image from each session. The membership fee is $195 for the three sessions and the storyboard, and I couldn’t be happier about it because I LOVE to document the incredible changes that take place that first amazing year! The $195 is an introductory rate that will be going up to $295 after 10 babies are enrolled. Call or email with any questions!
Lastly, speaking of studio… with the colder weather upon us, there is a new addition inside the studio, here to stay, as an option for you when the weather outdoors is too cold for our photography session… take a look at these studio portraits!
Our studio portraits are simple. A nice, dark, simple backdrop, with props that add to the feeling of the image, the focus staying on your baby… we’ve been working on some new lighting techniques for some time and this little model was a great one to work with, because at one year old, she was busy! The lighting is soft and sweet… really quite nice, especially for babies!

Just a quick update here as far as availability for fall/holiday family or children’s portrait sessions… The studio is booked solid through the last week of October for full sessions: Tuesday October 28th is the first available time, with one exception:
* One full length session is available on Thursday 10/16.
I’m so glad that everyone is planning ahead, that makes my life so much easier and will be convenient for you to have your fall and holiday family portraits out of the way before it’s terribly cold out!
Being booked solid does not apply to newborns or maternity; as always, we’re happy to squeeze in a maternity or newborn session as needed, and may also be able to squeeze in mini sessions on a few Tuesdays in the remaining days of September or into October.

from this beautiful little girl’s one-year outdoor photography session. I have been photographing her since she was a newborn baby- just a few days old, and being able to capture her milestones as she’s grown has been an incredible pleasure. A lot of my little ones are turning a year lately aren’t they?!
I just had to quickly share this one image because it’s too cute, and plan to share more of this little sweetie soon!

This was a hilariously fun photography session for two sweet baby boys in Waukesha… well, fun for me, fun for them, but not the greatest time trying to hold big sister back! Look at this first image… it CRACKS me up!!
These are the little monkeys that are on my website & blog in a few different areas… the close up snuggly nose to nose little twins… they’ve grown FAST! Look at how beautiful they are!
And through it all, big sister was actually fine. Sweet and helpful and adorable. She was able to stay focused on having a big piece of the *other* birthday cake mom had so thoughtfully bought… which was delicious! 
This is one super-mom. Really. She is amazing.

Is this not the sweetest capture?! Something about it… she’s busy, on the go… but makes time to give brother a quick hug before running off again. And look at the look on his little face. He loves his little sissy so much! This was a FANTASTIC family, as they always are. No better way to start off a beautiful morning than to photograph such a sweet, fun loving and genuine family.

This bridge may look familiar to some of you. Doesn’t it look magically much larger in images than in person?! It’s beautiful, and kids LOVE it!
This little monkey wasn’t too thrilled with having portraits taken initially, but give a boy some sticks and life gets better. He and his sister were such little cuties!
The truly genuine smiles from this beautiful little girl came when she was sitting with daddy… which says a lot! They are *almost* irish twins, just 13 months apart! Such a sweet family!
