I recently traveled to Hartland, WI for my second session with this baby boy. And really, there comes a point when a baby is just SO cute and SO sweet and happy and adorable… that it is almost unbelievable!!
I have never met such an easy, happy baby as this sweet boy. It felt surreal the way that nothing phased him, nothing upset him. He was all smiles, all the time… and I truly loved him. This sweet boy has the most amazing family to grow up in. It is such a privilege to capture the love and beauty, inside and out, for this family.

Not only is his mother an amazing woman and mother with a heart of gold… but she is also a trooper when it comes to people (*ahem) getting stuck in her driveway in the snow… you know… utility vehicles, delivery trucks, people driving down the road, visitors… the photographer……..
One day in the pouring down snow when I couldn’t move my worthless-in-the-snow-pacifica, she came out, got in my car and hammered down just right while I stood by with no coat, no gloves, no hat (unprepared as usual). In awe, after she un-stuck my car for me, I think I said something ridiculous like “wow, short of childbirth, I have never been so impressed with a woman!” Yet, she is still kind to me and forgives me for being incapable in the snow.
And now, here is one image of this precious boy from when he was just a tiny baby. Even then, I could predict he’d be sweet and happy… just wonderful.

Hope your week is off to a great start!

Here is one of the many BEAUTIFUL images from a recent newborn portrait session… I can’t wait to show the proud new mom and dad all of their images and give them their amazing custom designed birth announcements this week!
What a delight it was to photograph this sweet baby boy.
Another snowstorm coming tomorrow… not fun. Soon enough though, it will be spring. We’re close. I can feel it! I have a ton more images to show from this newborn session and a couple of other wonderful family sessions…. check back this week!

This photograph of a sweet baby girl was taken *just* over a year ago…
And this image of her is recent… so beautiful and so loved.
The sun is out and it’s beautiful today! Temperatures that are not in the negatives is always a good thing. Enjoy your weekend, I’d love to hear from you if you are considering a photography session in the Milwaukee, WI area this spring!

More beautiful images from the fundraiser event for the Well Rounded Maternity Center in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin… enjoy!
I LOVE mother-child photography. There are so many things to capture… the awe of a mother of her child, or child of mother… amazement, most of all just love.
And this little toddler… nothing more fun than photographing a HAPPY little boy like him!
This is it for today!
Have a wonderful Friday!

The lunar eclipse last night was so beautiful.
8:50 pm, temperature in the negatives, but a beautiful photograph taken from my front yard in Wauwatosa and worth the cold and the tripod!

This past Saturday, my wonderful friend and assistant Erin and I conducted a private fundraiser in our Brookfield Studio, for the Well-Rounded Maternity Center in Menomonee Falls. We are thrilled to have already raised $1200 for the center… it was a great success and I thank everyone who was able to participate and donate to the Well Rounded Maternity Center in exchange for some beautiful portraits of their children… here are some peeks at some of my favorite images!
Thank you to all who supported this wonderful cause with photography sessions in the new natural light portrait studio in brookfield, WI. The images are a bit more backdroppy than I would typically shoot for in a full session, however this is what works best for a higher volume event like this. Nothing compares to the attention and detail received when a full session is conducted on location. Still, I am truly honored to be able to support the Center. The Well Rounded Maternity Center in Menomonee Falls, WI offers so much to the community: a boutique with cloth diapering and environmentally friendly and safe products, parenting support groups and play groups, breastfeeding support, organic clothing and resale maternity items, Bradley Childbirth classes, childrens and prenatal yoga, and last but not least, the birth center. What an amazing way to welcome a new baby into the world.
The fundraiser would not have been such a success without all of Erin’s work, planning, organizing and help during the photography event itself. I certainly couldn’t have done it with out her. We make a good team.
Here’s us. Don’t laugh- I look cheesy smiling at the camera with her behind it, trying not to look uncomfortable being on the other side……..! Erin looks as beautiful as always, but I’ve got to learn how to loosen up a little when the lens is pointing at me!
Have a wonderful week!

Thank you for your patience while I worked out some kinks on my email- I am pretty sure that it is better now. If you experience any problems, please post here in the comments or else call- 262.781.7878.
I had another “itty bitty” session in the Brookfield studio of an ADORABLE mom with her two sweet boys (brothers who reminded me of my own boys!) and her cute little belly. Here is one of our favorites from the session:
She thought her belly was “big”… I had to tell her it was tiny. And amazingly cute.
And here’s one of this little monkey by himself. This is my favorite “wall” in the studio for photographing little monkeys like him.
Isn’t the light just delicious? Not to mention the little boy!!
Itty bitty sessions are mini sessions that take place in the studio. They are shorter in duration and therefore result in fewer images- a nice way to perhaps have a “in between” session when it’s not quite time for a full session, but you want to document the time.

I apologize for any inconvenience and hope to be back up on email soon!!
In the meantime, here is yet one more beautiful image of a sweet newborn baby.
