Also, I decided to live on the wild side and open up the comments. There’s a little comments line below each post. Feel free to click on that and leave a comment or read what others have wrote!
I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again… I LOVE when maternity photo sessions include pets!! Look at this beautiful belly and these gorgeous, perfectly groomed dogs… this was a wonderful portrait session with these dogs, the momma is very pregnant and we are expecting her sweet baby any day!

What a fun time we had in Delafield at the limited edition photography sessions on Sunday!
Here are just a *few* of my favorites… links should be heading out later today! So much work but so fun and rewarding to capture such beautiful images of so many adorable children all in one day.

It has been a very busy few days.
We’ve been working hard to get the details closer to being finished in the studio. I’ve gotten a few emails with questions about this new studio… let me answer those!
The answer to the most common question… No, I am not going to have a traditional portrait studio-studio. This studio is going to be more of what the previous gallery was- a viewing gallery, a place to meet, view prints, books, albums, framing… not a backdrop stand and lights.
I will continue to conduct sessions on location just like always, however in the rare occasion that a client prefers for me to NOT come to their home, we can conduct a full session in the studio.
I have windows on all four walls and the light is BEAUTIFUL!
Another question- will I be open during set hours for stopping in… no. Appointments will continue to be by appointment. I prefer to give my full attention to one person/family at a time, not to have too many clients stopping in and out potentially at the same time.
And last- Where in Brookfield is this… it is right on Capitol in Stonewood Village, the red building right off Capitol.
Images to come soon… hopefully early next week. Have a wonderful weekend!

We have some news!
I am thrilled to announce that Proud To Introduce is moving. We are in the process of moving into a space on Capitol Dr. in Brookfield.
The new address is 17700 W. Capitol Dr., Brookfield, WI 53045. This space is a natural light Studio with great walls, fun furniture and backgrounds. There will still be no artificial lights, and minimal use of “backdrops,” so the images will stay true to the style you’d recognize from Proud To Introduce.
It is on the North side of Capitol between Calhoun and Brookfield in the Stonewood Village complex with Mr. B’s… which many of you are probably familiar with, and also Megan’s Tea Room, which you may know of if you have daughters! We’ll be in the red building just in front of Mr. B’s and right off of Capitol!
The blog has been quiet because we have been and continue to be pretty consumed with getting the studio all set up in Brookfield, getting it ready to use full time on Feb. 1. I will still conduct sessions mostly on-location, however we WILL now have the option of doing a natural light studio session if you’d rather not have the session take place in your home. My preference always has been and continues to be in-home sessions or sessions outdoors when the weather is (obviously) warmer… I love the variety and the creativity allowed when I step into your home for the session and I love for your images to forever have that aspect of having been created in your home.
The new studio line will be 262.781.7878, however you may continue to use 414.861.5531 as well.
After about 3 years of being full time out of my home, it is TIME for this move, and we look forward to all of the opportunities that this will bring. I’m thankful for being blessed with this gift, and with clients who enjoy and appreciate artistic portraits of their newborns and children. It’s pretty amazing stuff to have the pleasure of documenting these times, and I don’t for one day overlook all that there is to be thankful for.
As we get into the studio, I will post images of it and have some fun little events going on. Stay tuned!!
In the meantime, here is one sweet baby that I just love. Three months old and so intrigued by the camera, it was hard to capture anything but an intense and serious stare… which I do love, but this smile is precious…

This beautiful family came “home” from New York to Milwaukee (… well, Waukesha actually) with their sweet baby and I was lucky enough to photograph them. Their sweet boy was 3.5 months, but gave me lots of eye contact and great expressions. He sure was a snugglebug, too. Motherhood fits her so beautifully- and they just make a wonderful family.

Look at this beautiful boy. My heart just swells when I’m able to get this kind of unexpected perfect, sleeping baby image. That is all I have to say about that!
Okay, so I do have one more thing to say today. Is this family beautiful?! I love to photograph such loving, kind, beautiful families… and this particular family has quite the sense of humor… makes it all even more fun!

Three features in one post! Carrie, Jen, and Keri… three amazing mothers. Click on the images to view them larger if you’d like. Have a wonderful weekend!
First, Carrie… I have known since her now 2 year old was just a baby… she is so beautiful; her whole family is beautiful. Carrie and her husband are amazing people, they have been through a lot, and their love for each other and strength is admirable beyond words.
* First name & city: Carrie in Wauwatosa
* How many children, first names and ages: Ben who is 4 ½, Meg who is 2, and Grace our sweet baby in heaven
* What’s on the top of your Christmas list? Someone to finish my photo albums! I am 2 years behind!
* What’s on the top of your children’s wish lists? Ben is really into Super Heros and Spiderman this year. Meg has found her girly-side (after years of playing with Ben’s trains and cars) and wants a baby doll highchair and swing.
