opposite ends of the spectrum.

Newborns, like anything else- have their own personality, their own little demeanors, I love them. More than anything.
I have specialized in artistically photographing newborns for nearly 3 years now. I can not recall one baby as contently *awake* as this little adorable stinker!
Certainly, there probably has been more who would not sleep, at least another one, but I can not remember… it’s been a while. This sweet little schmoopum never did sleep. For perhaps 5 minutes in mom’s arms, during which time we were letting him “get into his deeper sleep…” which never happened!!
This about sums it up:
I’m joking.
He was wonderful, I fell in love with this little 7 day old, like I do most of the sweet newborns I get the pleasure of meeting… but what made *him* extra special is that mom gave me free reign to (try to) get him to sleep myself, hold him, snuggle him… that’s a treat. Usually newborns are not happy when awake. This sweet boy was a wonderful exception. He was so content, so easygoing, just an absolute pleasure. Here’s a beautiful image of him in his peacefully awake state.
Have I mentioned that I LOVE newborn photography?! I do.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, this little perfect boy slept like no other! It was one of the easiest newborn sessions in terms of how much we [didn't] have to work to get him to sleep and scrunch.
It’s rarely quite that easy, but when it is, I’ll take it! I loved him for being so easy and giving me a little break. Nothing is as refreshing as a beautiful, perfect sweet baby… and I’ve got quite a few of them right now! More images of other adorable teeny new babes coming soon.
Oh, I should mention that this fabulous sleeper was FIVE days when I saw him. I am coming to realize that 5-6 days is ideal. Have a wonderful day!
