I am drowning in coffee table book designs over here! I kid you not, more than 10 hours of sitting here designing today! At least that time has accomplished one 40-page book from beginning to end… if only that was the only book on the list to design! So anyway- I apologize for not staying on top of this blog… soon… stay tuned.
To make up for it, should I have a contest? Check back in a few days, I’ll make time to post some images and see what we can come up with for a contest!

Needing to update the blog, so here we go! Just a quick 1-each of some BEAUTIFUL babies/kids from recent sessions. First, this was THE very first image that I captured during this session. When you start off with an image like this, it’s always a great session.
Gorgeous girl, and so so sweet… wonderful family who I photographed 2 November’s ago- so much fun to see how the kids have changed- it was great.
Now sweet little M, I *loved* him and enjoyed talking with his mother so very much. He was an absolute joy to photograph, and maybe it’s just his mother and me, here, but I find something SO striking about this image. Sometimes an image just pulls you in, pulls at your heart and makes you feel everything. Love it.
Baby N.
Lovely little guy, and again- had some of the sweetest, most fun parents. (It never hurts when I get to hold a sweet little sleeping baby for an hour or two during the ordering appointment, either!)
And now for the “most progress” photography award… the first time I photographed J here about 1.5 years ago, he was a wild man, purely and truly running around like crazy. Barely any eye contact, but his images had a great journalistic feeling. Now fast forward to this past spring, he was wonderful- so cooperative and surprisingly “into” it. And NOW, my goodness, it does not get any better or easier than this! He was great, such a nice session.
Well that is it until after Thanksgiving most likely. Had a few minutes of down time today while getting orders together and wanted to wish you all a wonderful weekend before Thanksgiving. We all have so very much to be thankful for. I enjoy thanksgiving with my family every year!
Aside from a few pick ups the weekend and ordering appointments on Tuesday next week, I will be spending this time with my family, my own little monkeys, and will be back to “normal” crazy busy season the following week. I have so many more images to post a sneak peek of… all in good time, I suppose!

This is one of the most beautiful little girls… her eyes are just striking. Amazing beauty, really.
What a surprise these images were to her mom, who thought that miss Sassy thang would have nothing to do with me… not many smiles here but I pride myself on capturing reality and for this little girl- this is who she is. We did get a few smiles, but these speak to me much more- they’re her. Enjoy!

Newborns, like anything else- have their own personality, their own little demeanors, I love them. More than anything.
I have specialized in artistically photographing newborns for nearly 3 years now. I can not recall one baby as contently *awake* as this little adorable stinker!
Certainly, there probably has been more who would not sleep, at least another one, but I can not remember… it’s been a while. This sweet little schmoopum never did sleep. For perhaps 5 minutes in mom’s arms, during which time we were letting him “get into his deeper sleep…” which never happened!!
This about sums it up:
I’m joking.
He was wonderful, I fell in love with this little 7 day old, like I do most of the sweet newborns I get the pleasure of meeting… but what made *him* extra special is that mom gave me free reign to (try to) get him to sleep myself, hold him, snuggle him… that’s a treat. Usually newborns are not happy when awake. This sweet boy was a wonderful exception. He was so content, so easygoing, just an absolute pleasure. Here’s a beautiful image of him in his peacefully awake state.
Have I mentioned that I LOVE newborn photography?! I do.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, this little perfect boy slept like no other! It was one of the easiest newborn sessions in terms of how much we [didn't] have to work to get him to sleep and scrunch.
It’s rarely quite that easy, but when it is, I’ll take it! I loved him for being so easy and giving me a little break. Nothing is as refreshing as a beautiful, perfect sweet baby… and I’ve got quite a few of them right now! More images of other adorable teeny new babes coming soon.
Oh, I should mention that this fabulous sleeper was FIVE days when I saw him. I am coming to realize that 5-6 days is ideal. Have a wonderful day!

Well, a week or two ago, I said it had to be the peak of busy-ness. I must have been wrong, because every day since then has been the peak, instead! I know I’m slacking on the blog, and I am so sorry…. bare with me, I’ll get to more updates eventually!
In the meantime, I am spending every spare moment on the final holiday sessions, photographing adorable children ALL over the Milwaukee area…! And then proofing, presenting images, getting orders in and packaged and out to you! Here is just one FABULOUS image of a fabulous little girl…
Enjoy the freezing cold days ahead of us this week!
