I LOVED photographing this baby and family!! They were so easy, fun… and photogenic! Sweet baby girl slept through so many varieties of my favorite poses, it was an absolute delight! Here are a FEW favorites… so so many incredible images from this newborn photo session!

one amazing day old.

I went to Menomonee Falls photograph a friend’s TEENY newborn baby at less than one day old…. this was a good few months back, but I remember the tinyness like it was yesterday. Here are a few images of her sweet babe.
I then had another opportunity to photograph this sweet little bundle a few weeks later. I think baby was about 1.5 or 2 weeks for this round of newborn images! What fun!!
Isn’t it amazing how much her little face matured in just a matter of days? Gorgeous, sweet newborn baby to photograph!

something different! a “girlfriends” session!

These fabulous girls came to the studio for a “girlfriends” session. We walked around the village and I made them be the silly, sassy, sweet girls that they are- it was SUCH fun! One of them is moving away soon and they decided to do this to capture their friendship and this time in their lives- it was such a pleasure to photograph the five of them!

amazing story, amazing baby

This sweet baby boy was born in LA, so that his mommy could have a very a tumor removed as SOON as possible after he was born. He means everything to them- you can feel it when you’re in the room with them and you can SEE it in their images. It was such an incredible honor to photograph her maternity session a few months ago and now her newborn session. I believe their beautiful son was 6 weeks when they made it back to Milwaukee, happy, healthy, and lucky to have each other. Their newborn photography session, well really- this FAMILY was amazing to photograph.

This was one of the summer sunset mini sessions. I sent over FORTY files from a 15 minute session… they were unbelievably beautiful, sweet, and just FUN to photograph! No surprise there though… every time I get my camera on this wonderful family it is nothing but fabulous.

If I could have frozen this moment and canned it up, I would have. This BEAUTIFUL mother, and her adorable, perfect, amazing little baby came in to the Wauwatosa studio seven days postpartum. Their newborn photography session was incredible. Here is just ONE amazing moment captured during their family’s photo session… it was so wonderful- more to come!

Mother and child portrait captured during newborn photography session… striking black and white tones… amazing emotion and stunning beauty and love, it takes my breath away. Not much else to say about this newborn picture… it speaks for itself.

sweet baby boy: one adorable year old

I met this beautiful little boy when he was still inside his mommys belly… her maternity photography session was just over a year ago and I had so much fun photographing that gorgeous belly. What an honor to be a part of such special times in life! I took his newborn pictures, and his mommy got a gorgeous wall display of 4 11×14 portraits. What a great way to remember and enjoy those amazing newborn days! At his year old photo session, his smiles were contagious. He wasn’t feeling 100% like his smiley, active self when he came in to the Wauwatosa studio for his 1 year photography session, yet the cuteness is pretty much unbearable! Look at this little face!!

I love photographing newborns and families in Wauwatosa homes… so much character and beauty, and Tosa homes always seem to feel so lived in and comfortable while being GORGEOUS all at the same time.
These newborn pictures speak to me so much as both a photographer and as a mother. The charm, peacefulness, love, and tenderness in these newborn portraits is striking. All of the elements of their comfortable home setting tie together to give off such a warm and loving feel to the images… just precious. This baby is so loved. Enjoy!
