So many newborn baby photography sessions lately, so little time to blog their images! What an incredible session. This baby girl and her parents were SO loving and sweet. Her new daddy fell right into his new role of father, and handled her with such love and tenderness while they visited the Wauwatosa studio for her newborn pictures. And her beautiful new mom watched the session with such adoration and handled her so sweetly… this baby girl has got a lot of kisses coming to her in life! That’s the best thing to know and witness… what an incredible position I am in to be able to be able to see and capture such love. This mom was very drawn to the simplicity and classic look of the solid black background and I have to agree. Something about it is so timeless and beautiful… the newborn portraits that we created fit this family so well- too many favorites to share, but here are a few!

A few more images of these sweet newborn twin girls… three daughters- what a beautiful family!
The studio move is about 95% complete… we look forward to many wonderful photography sessions in the Wauwatosa studio and outdoors around the Village of Wauwatosa. There are beautiful grounds on the parkway, and throughout the village in the little nooks and back yards of the businesses. Hours are by appointment, as always, with most sessions taking place on evenings and weekends to accomodate busy schedules. Having just relocated from Stonewood Village in Brookfield on Capitol Drive, our children’s photography studio in Tosa will be about 12 minutes east of Stonewood Village, and a bit more centrally located. We recently went on-location in Hartland to photograph some beautiful newborn twins. Aren’t they amazing newborns?! Some incredible newborn portraits resulted from this photography session in their home- the light was beautiful, the babies were gorgeous, the parents so loving and sweet. I will post more in the coming week or so!
In the mean time, we are starting to move the studio to our new home in Wauwatosa this weekend. To celebrate the move, we’ll be offering a couple of specials and contests. This family portrait session was from the fall… but it just HAD to be posted! Look at how much personality and cuteness is oozing from this adorable family… such fun! This family was a referral from another one of my absolute favorite families of all time, and I couldn’t be happier with such a great family photography session. 10 year old girls are a blast to photograph!

Most of the newborn babies photographed in the studio are between 5-10 days old… this sweet baby is no exception! At 8 days old, we had a fantastic session. Mom and dad are very into photography and enjoyed images that have a lot of negative space (meaning, baby is off to one side of the image with lots of “empty” space taking up much of the frame.) I appreciate my clients who are into art! It’s always fun to work with people’s specific artistic tastes- this was fantastic newborn photography session! Look at these beautiful alert eyes!
This was the image used on their custom designed birth announcement card… SO sweet. She zonked out and gave us some gorgeous sleepy newborn images towards the very end of a long session. Totally worth the wait for the sleeping baby captures!

It was SUCH a joy photographing this family in Wauwatosa again. Just hanging out with this family is a pleasure, camera or not! Bare with me while I catch up on a few favorite photography sessions from the fall- I’m so behind on posting kids and family photos on the blog!! So many cute newborns and children, so little time! Obviously, after our COLD cold day today in Milwaukee, you know this is from the fall… but so worth the visual pleasure of seeing this family’s beautiful outdoor portraits! It was a cold day a few months ago, but nothing but warmth and cuteness with these three boys. We had about four minutes of crazy beautiful sunrise light, and then it turned COLD!
This deer wanted to be in the background of our family portraits…
and a typical “pose” for this family to all pile on each other, laughing and being silly… love it!

This family’s photography session was based on the birth of their sweet new baby, but there was SO much love between mom, dad, and big brother… it was a touching family and newborn photography session that was just full of sweetness.

Another husband of the year award goes to this fantastic father, who surprised his wife with a photography session for their beautiful family as a birthday gift! Happy belated birthday to both of the dad and mom in this family! It was a fantastic session, they are friends of another family who recently moved out of state- I appreciated the referral very much! This family was as delightful as it ever gets with a family portrait session… these two children were SO sweet, well mannered and just truly an absolute pleasure to meet and photograph. The pictures of this family show how genuine and fabulous they were! This toddler was strangely cooperative… strangely in the best possible way. It was an all around pleasure. I’ll stop gushing now and show some of their family pictures!
Secondly, THANK YOU for your response to the special next week! How exciting to meet a few new families (some of whom will have an adorable little belly!!) through this special. I knew it was a great value, but did not anticipate the openings filling so quickly! The session + album “moving special” for $295 is no longer available, and I look forward to the sessions next week. Many babies that Brook and I have photographed maternity sessions for are due within these next few weeks… good stuff going on in the studio! Happy New Year! Maybe I can get back on the blogging train soon and stop neglecting the poor blog…!

We’re down to our last month in the Brookfield studio! The third week of January will mark the last week before our move into the Village of Wauwatosa! While the Brookfield photography studio in Stonewood Village has been good to us for the past two years with many newborn, child, and family photo sessions, it’s time for some changes and we eagerly look forward to being a part of the Tosa community! The new Wauwatosa studio will be right on Wauwatosa Ave, in the building with Baskin Robbins, breadsmith and Starbucks. Dangerous!! (Dangerously delicious, that is!)
To celebrate our move into Tosa, we’d like to end our two years spent in the Brookfield studio with some fresh new faces and a moving special! Tuesday through Friday, January 5 – 8, we’ll be conducting some special sessions… a $295 moving special will include a full length session AND a simplicity album. Albums & orders will be available to pick up in the new Tosa studio the 2nd week of Feb. The simplicity albums are hand made, beautiful albums with 10 4×5 artist’s choice images within. These can be maternity sessions, or family or baby sessions… the sessions must take place between 1/5 and 1/8, we have a few scheduling options available for each day!
