Pure love. If I could photograph a newborn baby every day of my life, I would be one happy photographer. Throw in a few maternity pictures and some sweet families of older children and babies too… happy. Love this.

It’s “that week” between Christmas and New Years… while your kids are diving into new goodies and you are enjoying some leftovers and cleaning up wrapping paper… a few mother and son pictures with some warmth and beautiful sun. This gorgeous momma lived in Hudsonville, so I traveled from Grand Rapids to Hudsonville for her childrens portraits. Such a treat!

What an absolute pleasure it was to travel to “my” field in Grand Rapids to photograph some beautiful families and children. This was a project that we photographed for Java Gym, Grand Rapids most fabulous indoor play gym for kids!
Stay tuned for some professional childrens photos of the finished project, which will be in Java Gym, in the Forest Hills area of Grand Rapids!

Well, the blog is looking a little off for this Grand Rapids family and children’s photographer, and that will be the case for a while until I get things figured out.
Lesson to be learned: Self, do not try to do much website stuff on your own. This is why always in the past, you have hired a brilliant programmer.
I was cleaning up things I thought I didn’t need, because my ftp had a lot of “junk” in it. Apparently some of that junk housed my flash websites, my blog website, my blogsite, and some other personal stuff. Once it became apparent that I hadn’t backed up recently enough and that I seem to have erased the backups if they were there… I just shrugged it off. Yep, it stinks but hey- there are worse things in the world than losing some websites. Starting fresh and recreating *everything* is kind of exhilarating and fun in a way. (Too bad I can’t drink while I say that right now.)
To celebrate losing almost 2 years of posts, information, images, and all that other good stuff, let me kick things off with a precious baby boy who just turned one year old. I went to photograph this family at their home in Grand Rapids, MI- they are beautiful, nurturing, so calming and loving. I would like to live there for a week and de-stress!
