Ah, a newborn. It’s been a little while for me… I’ve photographed many amazing families, toddlers, children & older babies, but a newborn…. it was blissful. She was perfect. These reflective eyes, her tiny little baby body parts, those newborn wrinkles and fingers and toes and the little fluffs of hair above her ears… there is nothing quite as fulfilling in this same way… as photographing a newborn baby, within days of coming into the world.
These first two images jumped right out at me, but believe me: many more to follow of this gorgeous baby.

It was truly a TREAT for me to photograph this gorgeous six year old at the studio in Brookfield recently. She seems older than six to me, maybe because it’s not an age I do individually on a regular basis! Well at this rate (and a few other sessions lately with older siblings!) I DO love this age and would love to do more of them! This gorgeous girl is a wonderful big sister to one sweet baby and loving younger sister to another. What a wonderful session to have JUST for her. After recently having a newborn session at their home in Milwaukee, mom decided to do something special for this daughter.
Mini sessions are a great opportunity to have one child photographed at a time and have an enjoyable experience with one of your kids. It was a fun time for mom too, I am sure. What mom doesn’t love some one on one time with one child at a time? I know I do. :)
Mom was wonderful, so sweet… an incredible mother. Doesn’t this gorgeous girl look so happy and comfortable leaning back on mom? The look on her face here just melts me :

I simply adore photographing kids individually with their mother or father- it truly is one of the most enjoyable things to photograph, right up there with sleepy newborn babies, giggling 6 month olds and cake-eating one year olds! This sweet baby girl girl was so expressive, her eyes were just beautiful, add in her little pigtails and her gorgeous parents and we had a WONDERFUL photography session at the studio in Brookfield! Enjoy some of their gorgeous portraits!
